THEATRE SHOWS

Shows we have been lucky enough to be involved in:

The Genius of Ray Charles

In December 2007 we were asked to design & specify a system for the french version of The genius of Ray Charles, we also flew out our resident sound designer "Danny Schurer" to oversee the project.

The Genius of Ray CharlesThe system was designed around D&B "Groundstacked" Q1 series loudspeakers with a concept favorite the Yamaha PM5D console at FOH & Yamaha M7CL in Mointor-Land.

In 2005 we were lucky enough to be involved in the West-End Premiere of Genius Of Ray Charles At The Theatre Royal Haymarket for a 10 week run, we undertook the sound design & operation in association with "Pete Kramer of Storm Lighting Ltd", Equipment supplied by Orbital sound.

The Twelve Irish Tenors

Twelve Irish TenorsAt the start of october we were contacted by "Pete Kramer of Storm Lighting" to design a theatre system, to be based round there current stock of D&B equipment we also undertook the design & operation for the UK winter tour of "The 12 Irish Tenors", being a one nighter tour then system had to be flexiable enough to deal with some challenging UK venues but also quick to set up and break down due to time constrants.

The show was based around the poular D&B L/R C7 System with 3 Pairs of C690 flown cabinets doing In/Balcony fills, E3's were used as front fills & CI60's as flown on-stage fills, the only non D&B Cabinets were the Tannoy V12's which were used as near field monitoring across the front of the stage. P12000's & e-pacs were used in conjunction with BSS Soundweb "Lite" taking care of the system processing whilst 2 Yamaha 01v's were driving the system in mirror mode to allow for any mishaps which never thankfully never occured

Can't Buy Me Love

Money can't buy me loveIn July of 2007 we undertook the sound design & operation of the best beatles show to hit the tribute scene, close your eyes & be transported back to the hot smokey scene of the Cavern club.

Our spec for this show is as follows: D&B C7 Rig with Extra B2 sub bass coupled with C6 & E3 in Fills, driven by Yamaha PM5D & 2X Bss soundwebs this show wasn't for the faint hearted.

GameShow

GameshowWe were contracted by Maxine Doyle artistic director of the "First person dance company" to provide a small touring sound system for there fringe tour of "It's only a game show",the brief was to keep it simple so that it could be operated by the cast back-stage with the provision of being able to tie in to in-house systems should the need require, but be of a quality of a west end style show but be able to be set up in limited time.

We provided a bespoke system to meet these requirements, which included an 18U rack on wheels that consisted of a Allen & heath Miz wizard, 6 Senheisser EW300 radio mic headsets, 2x sony mini disk players, 1 X sony cd player & D&B e-pacs to provide amplification for the FOH & Mointor systems, the main FOH consisted of D&B C6's with B2 subs for a tight bottom end where necessary + E3's on hook clamps for in-fill and stage mointors, most venues were Studio style this seemed to work effectivly.

Dancing Queen

Dancing QueenWe were contracted by "Pete Kramer of Storm Lighting " to provide sound services for the 2006 summer tour of dancing Queen.

The system was designed round D&B C7 with D&B C690 & E3 to provide in-fill, all settings and Eq was taken care of by a BSS soundweb"Lite" & FOH desk was a yamaha 01v to save on space whilst still providing a powerfull footprint for the show.

With the fast paced choreography, pumping sound track combined with an awesome lighting desing we had the audiences dancing in the aisles at every venue every night.
